Business Link – DDP ‘Partner’ appointment

Director Development Programme grant initiative

Today Redbeech announces appointment as a ‘Supplier Partner’ to the Director Development Programme (DDP) being run by Business Link West Midlands.  This appointment represents recognition of the leadership and management training, mentoring and coaching programmes offered by Redbeech Limited to Small and Medium Sized businesses (SME’s) across central England.

Norman Smyrell. Managing director of Redbeech said “We are delighted to be selected to partner with Business Link in this programme of grant funded learning for directors and management decision makers.  Our experience tells us that support of this type is essential to the growth and continued success of SME business owners and management teams.  We believe that, at this particular point in the economic cycle, investment in training and coaching of business executives is critical to their transformation, their preparation for recovery and strong business growth in increasingly competitive markets.  DDP offers an excellent funding vehicle that provides simple, direct access to resources that can meet identified development needs”

Background to the Director Development Programme (DDP) and Business Link

The Director Development Programme is focused on providing leadership and management subsidised training for the principal decision maker or key decision makers / directors of companies with between 5 and 249 employees.  DDP will support a director selected training / development programme with up to £1000.  The first £500 of this figure is free, the second must be match funded by the benefiting business.  The DDP programme of funding will last for three years.  It is anticipated that in excess of 2000 businesses can benefit each year from the programme.

Through a tendering process, Business Link West Midlands have selected ‘Supplier Partners’ which in their view have the expertise and track record of delivering high impact leadership and management development training, coaching and mentoring programmes to SME’s in central England.   Many of these suppliers, including Redbeech, have already prepared learning programmes specifically for clients taking advantage of the DDP funding.
